The next one on my temple run was Ginkaku-ji, The Temple of the Silver Pavilion. It was much better than the golden one. Much more down to earth. It was the first time a Japanese person has come to talk to me: a school children group asked me some questions in English and I was given origami cranes after the interview. Later in Hiroshima I got even more of these interviews and learned the story behind the paper cranes.
