A visit to Yase, north of Kyoto. (Yase in autumn at the end of this post from December.) Aesthetics of smaller Japanese trains and stations, dream house Rurikoin villa and the most intense verdure I've seen. Sun filtered through the foliage of hundreds of small leaves paints everything it reaches with the most intense green light. It's a pleasant and invigorating sight. Still, the green color is so strong it becomes a violent signal strengthening the cacophony of all surrounding natural sounds. There is no peace in nature.
Color merges with sound. Insects crawl closer with their sharp robotic feet.
Yase, May 12th.
