A second visit to Kurama, north of Kyoto (first trip here). It was late June and the heat was on. The forests were sizzling with life, insects and reptiles squirming in the green between the flickering shadows. The gothic forests hide a trail over the hills which became even longer after a hearty lunch at one of the restaurants on the river just before the climb.
Constantly inclined to lose my way into the woods.
